Our
goals are:
1.
To provide all families the services and support they
need to become active participants in their child's
education and support learning at home.
2. To strengthen partnerships between parents and their
child's school.
3. To provide pre-kindergarten parents services and
support.
4. To coordinate parent involvement programs and services
statewide.
Nevada's
Second Parent Involvement Summit was held on February
29, 2008 at the Northwest Career and Technical Academy
in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Summit was founded by Nevada
State Assemblywoman Debbie Smith and Washoe County School
District Trustee Barbara Clark and is a partnership
with various organizations in the state, including the
Nevada Department of Education, Clark County School
District, Nevada Parent Teacher Association (PTA), Washoe
County School District and the Nevada State PIRC at
the Education Collaborative.
